Thank you, Andrew. I appreciate this quote from your post: “Bread provides a simple metric in the most difficult times.”

Andrew, thought I would add something I’ve learned from speaking from my heart over on my newsletter. You have a right to express your views, and expressing your views is a good first step to dialogue and conversations between people of different beliefs, homelands, perspectives. If we all sit silent and don’t say anything, don’t engage, then we as humans will never change. The greatest gift from one of your readers is to hear your words and perspectives and then process that and realize, even if they don’t agree with you, that we are this beautiful, flawed world of seeing things differently. And that is OK. I think we can all agree on a need for peace and reconciliation and an end to human suffering.

Thank you, Anne. I've had the same experience, until now. I've had close friends/family members react with horror to things I've shared on social media that seemed perfectly reasonable to me, and it has made me skittish for the first time ever.

n important information. I only wish the Western press would cover other situations in the world. Sadly, people of so many countries have been persecuted with neither aid nor acknowledgement.
