I feel the self-worth/successful bake thing. In my first few years of baking I’d go to bed anxious knowing a bad bake could absolutely ruin my week. It’s a big reason why I don’t stray too much from making my standard country loaves, pizza dough, or focaccia.
Same! Although trying to release myself from perfectionism was a big conscious reason I got into baking, so I try to love the duds all the same. It’s so hard to do, after all that work and planning…..
We just got back from France and, when buying stamps at La Poste, the woman working was excited about the new baguette stamps and pushed us to buy them
