In a funny coincidence, my students made conchas this week. We used Pati Jinich's recipe. The flavor was delicious, but they went hard in literally hours. The dough was also extremely gooey and challenging to work with. We'll have to try Teresa's version.

Do know if anyone has tried making Yemenite kubaneh,in a slow cooker overnight? Seems to me it would be comparable to the heat in the oven after baking challah
